Regarding the importance of giving good name to Hadrat Abu Darda, it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah said, On the Day of Resurrection, you will be called by your name and your father. Therefore, look at your names as good. (Meshkat-Abu Daud and Ahmad)


Abdullah bin Umar (ra) narrated about what might be the best and preferred name of Allaah Teyla, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said that Allah Ta'ala is the most beloved name among the names of your names: Abdullah and Abdur Rahman. (Meshkat-Muslim)


Hadrat Abu Wahab al-Jusami (ra) was narrated. He said, "The Prophet (peace be upon him) said," Put your name in the name of the Prophets. " However, Abdullah and Abdur Rahman are much more beloved than Allah Taala. And in terms of money and reality, the most true name is Harith (achiever) and Hammam (determinant) and the worst name will be (war) and Murrah (bitter). (Meshkat-Abu Daud). Narrated by Sahl bin Saad (ra). He said, when Muniqar bin Abi Usad was born, he was brought to the Prophet (peace be upon him), he put him on his thigh and asked what was his name. The ansitor said, 'and so-and-so' then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, but instead its name is 'Muni'. (Meshkat-Mutafqkum alaihi)

Imam Abu Daud (RA) said in concise terms, also the Prophet (peace be upon him) is a sinner (sinner), Aziz (powerful), Atalah (a wooden hammer), Satan (damaged), Hakam (Judge), Gorab (crab birds) Hubab (snake) and shihab (fire-breathing) etc. have changed names to make a good name. (Meshkat-Abu Daud). The name of the person on the character influences the good or evil meaning of the name. A good name leads to a good person, and the bad name leads to evil.

Regarding the effect of a bad name, Hazrat Abdul Hamid bin Jubair bin Shaiba (R) said, "Once I was sitting with Sa'id bin Musayyab (R), he narrated that once his grandfather was present, the Prophet (peace be upon him) Then, the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked what is your name? In reply he said my name is Hana (difficult). Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, your name is Sahl. In response, he said, I do not want to change the paternal name. Then Said bin Musayyab said, then our family always remained submerged. (Meshkat-Bukhari)
